There’s no space quite like it anywhere else in New York. Nestled in the Public Hotel on the Lower East Side, Public Arts is an avant-garde space for concerts, events, and parties. The progressive slant of the design and lineup curation lends itself to a cutting-edge experience that is not to be missed.

The next opportunities you have to take in the ambiance of Public Arts are two huge shows they have set for the coming weeks. On March 23rd, they’re inviting the Shadowboxers to come perform. The Shadowboxers are a pop band formed at Emory University in Atlanta. They’re going to be squeezing in a performance at Public Arts during a New York trip that’s bookended by performances at Madison Square Garden and the Prudential Center opening for Justin Timberlake.
The following weekend, Public Arts will host Strange Names on April 2nd. This “next wave” band from Minneapolis are currently touring to support their second album, which took their sound into a slick, futuristic direction while maintaining the fun elements of their first album that appealed to so many and led to them being lauded as one of the best rising bands of 2015.
No matter which you pick (or don’t, just go to both), you’re guaranteed to get the full Public Arts experience.
