This year is shaping up to be a stellar year for Pretty Lights. Only a few weeks have passed since the announcement of the episodic installations at the Gorge Amphitheater on August 4th and 5th and the Island of Light Festival in Puerto Rico in December. But Derek Smith isn’t quite done yet.

Pretty Lights decided to use the power of his fans to spread the word about two new shows he has planned this year. What’s cool about this is that he sent fifty lucky fans a package with a wooden USB of more than twenty unreleased “flips” from Euphoria, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, and Telluride. Twenty-five were sent to fans in Colorado and the other twenty-five to Chicago. The back of the flyer included in the package reads:

Greetings, you have been chosen for a new Pretty Lights social experiment. This package contains unreleased “flips” from Euphoria (April 2017), Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival (March 2017), and Telluride (August 2016).  As one of our most devoted fans, we are choosing you to not only spread this music organically far and wide, but to also share the message that we will be returning to Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO on August 11-12 for the 9th consecutive year.  See you soon.

Make sure to stay up to date on any other announcements via his Facebook.
