Camping music festivals have become very popular in recent years. However, few get the “camping” portion of the music festival right. Northern Nights Music Festival (NNMF) at Cook’s Valley Campground not only delivers an amazing musical lineup, but the camping experience does not take a backseat.
First, let’s talk about the music. Northern Nights offers three days of music across four stages – the Main Stage, River Stage, Grove Stage, and Silent Disco. Headlining this year’s festival are hip-hop group Living Legends and NYC-based electronic producer Jai Wolf, along with Cherub, Big Wild, and G Jones. The festival features multiple genres and a lot of up-and-coming acts to discover.
In addition to dancing to this incredible lineup, NNMF offers a bunch of other activities to partake in. Camp out among sky-scraping redwoods and swim in the Eel River. Participate in fun outdoor games, enjoy a yoga session, and watch live art being created.
All of this will have you working up an appetite, and luckily there will be multiple food vendors at the festival, featuring unique, organic, and delicious meals and snacks, as well as bars serving cocktails, wine, and beer.
The festival also focuses on sustainability and was awarded a Commended Award from the UK-based A Greener Festival for environmentally-friendly practices.
NNMF is not only a music festival, but an entire experience you definitely don’t want to miss. Want to go? There’s some important information you should read below. Seriously. Actually read the details. The good stuff that ends with you relaxing in a woodland paradise is there, we promise.
