Northern Nights Music Festival has become something of a favorite for us. There’s something about a festival that really strives to help highlight small, up-and-coming, and local artists that really appeals to our ethos. We have high expectations for Northern Nights 2018.
That sensibility is thanks to Matthew Whitlock, one of the big players around the Bay Area music scene. For this festival, now in its sixth year, we return to the stunning backdrop that has graced festivals past, and there’s a lineup across five stages awaiting that is bigger and better than ever.
Of course, part of giving small artist a platform is bringing the headliners to pair them with. And the headliners at Northern Nights 2018 are spectacular, including Emancipator, Justin Martin, Mr. Carmack, Sage the Gemini, Thomas Jack, Bad Royale, a Brownies & Lemonade all star set, and more.
Northern Nights is about more than just the music (not to trivialize the music though), and 2018 will be no exception. You’ll camp out under the stars (and the spectacular lighting), swim in the river, do yoga to center yourself, and more.
It all takes place from July 20th to 22nd at the Cook’s Valley Campground, north of San Francisco. Tickets and camping passes are still available, but hurry because they’re being snapped up quickly.
