London Big Day Out is the biggest day on the antipodean social calendar, bringing Australians, New Zealanders and London locals together for a day of live music, friendly sporting competition and iconic food and drinks. It’s a day for all Londoners to experience some of the culture your Australian and Kiwi neighbours left on the other side of the world.

In 2019, Australian surf rock dudes Dune Rats will headline the main stage for their exclusive London show along with a host of other bands and DJs throughout the day.

🌭🌯🥘 In terms of food, a traditional Maori/Kiwi hangi will be served (that’s like a barbecue slow-cooked underground for 24 hours) plus a sausage sizzle, pies, sausage rolls, sweet treats and all of the best beers, wines and soft drink from the lands down-under.

🏉 🥅 🤾🏻‍♂️Sporting competitions on the day include rugby (union, league, touch and try-tag), netball and dodgeball. There’s also a kids’ zone to keep the children in your life entertained (kids get in free) and so many other games and activities to keep big kids of all ages occupied.

London Big Day Out is a cultural exchange festival designed to give Londoners a little taste of what it’s like down under, and to bring a little piece of home to the many Aussies and Kiwis that have “upped sticks” to the other side of the world.
