Imagine ethereal dance music, complete with live vocals and guitar; watch it manifest with Bob Moses.
Occupying the ground between organic band and an all-electronic production project, Bob Moses draw on the two poles to vividly resonate across both. A duo with an individual name, Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance’s musical endeavor plays with this kind of duality all over their music.
“We were never happy just making music on guitars,” says Tom Howie on the organic-electronic sound of Bob Moses. “Our live show combines what a DJ does with a rock band,” Vallance adds. “Everything flows together in a continuous mix for the dancefloor, but it’s all our own original music, with live vocals and guitar.”
They hit the scene with their debut album, Days Gone By, in 2015. The album showcases their serene, intoxicating mixture of live and electronic elements, jazzy textures and techno rhythms, all while being both accessible and complex.
Just about one year after the release of Days Gone By, the duo released a deluxe edition complete with live recordings as well as remixes from Tale of Us, Joris Voorn, and more. The duo are currently on the road for the Bob Moses Never Enough Tour. See if they’re coming to a city near you and enter to win tickets below.
