More like FriYAYYYYYY! How many of these nine lil’ beasties are you going to listen to immediately???

If we missed any, tell us on TWITTER!

Father John Misty – Pure Comedy

If you don’t feel the Elton John influence of this incredible album, we have nothing in common. While it may be titled Pure Comedy, it’s incredibly serious with some of the strongest vocals on the list today. Bring on the feels Father!

White Reaper – The World’s Best American Band

When you see the title of this album and the first song with the same name, you’ve gotta ask yourself, “Can they back it?” I’ll say this, if this record was released in the 70s, maybe! Super strong classic rock vibes and just straight up good rock music.

Future Islands – The Far Field

This is what synth pop should sound like. All 12 songs have something that is unique only to them and continues pushing the band to the next level. You can’t listen to this album without dancing along.

Diet Cig – Swear I’m Good At This

The full-length debut release of this New York pop punk duo has some of the most incredibly touching and beautifully insecure lyrics here. Nod your head, smile, and take a listen.

Arca – Arca

Welcome to church. This could be the most interesting album on the list this week. From the opening track, you’re transported to another world then the industrial resonance follows you throughout the journey. Haunting and beautiful.

Ulver – The Assassination of Julius Caesar

With every album they sound a little different and this one continues into the world of synth-pop. While listening to it, you might even get a tinge of nostalgia from late 80’s and early 90’s.

Guided by Voices – August by Cake

With an injection of new talent into the band, the new album is a good time across the board. Don’t worry, Robert Pollard is still at the helm and you immediately know it’s Guided by Voices, but the new members bring a great new flavor.

K. Flay – Every Where Is Some Where

Any album that has a song titled “The President Has A Sex Tape” is okay in my book. But that’s just one track outta 12 on this edgy new sophomore release with a mix of hip-hop and sultry dark vocals.

San Fermin – Belong

This now eight-piece band is following up the 2015 release with something that could almost be considered pop-y. You’ll find everything from electronic to brass to string to singer/songwriter in an easy to digest fun album.

Incredibly diverse list today, which was your favorite?
