As summer comes to a close, some of us are thinking about sweater weather, other are thinking about next summer. I am one of the summer people, and unfortunately, I’ve got bad news if you are too.
On September 5th, WayHome Music & Arts announced on Twitter that:
This isn’t goodbye, just see you later✌️

From their website they go on to say:
A sense of calm comes from a PAUSE. It can be a simple moment to take a much needed breath or an opportunity to reflect, reassess and reimagine. A PAUSE is equal parts necessary & important.
WayHome Music & Arts will be on PAUSE in 2018.
THANK YOU for the love & support the community of WayHomies have shown over the last three years. The millions of magical moments we created and shared together will sit in our memory banks to be relived for years to come.
This isn’t goodbye, just see you later.
Love,
WayHome
After three years and thousands (15k per day, all three days, this past year) of visitors, they’re taking a break. The most important line from both the tweet and the page is that, “This isn’t goodbye, just see you later.” Hopefully, and this is a big hopefully because it’s an incredible event, they’ll be back in 2019.
In their first year they brought in acts like Neil Young, Kendrick Lamar, and Sam Smith. Year number two they had LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, and The Killers. And last year the big ones were Flume, Imagine Dragons, and Frank Ocean. So in no way is it because of a lack of talent. We can only hope that it’s all worked out.
