Get excited, San Francisco. NoPa will see a new live music venue in the 100-year-old historic movie theater which was previously Harding Theatre. The new venue, Emporium Arcade Bar SF, is an arcade bar as well as a music venue. The owners have experience with the concept of this bar, as this is a sister venue to Chicago’s very own arcade bar and venue, Emporium Chicago.
The new venue is expected to open sometime this fall, with the owners’ sights set on next month. Emporium SF also seems to have a dedication to keeping things local: they plan on focusing their bar on local and craft beers from the Bay Area, as well as potentially showcasing local art.
The musical bookings haven’t yet been made public but with such a massive space, it’s sure to be a success.
