chicago bluegrass blues festival

For five days in March, the Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival will reign supreme as its ten year anniversary is upon us. From March 21 to 25, bluegrass- and blues-styled bands will be headed across Chicago to Lincoln Hall, Chop Shop, Fitzgerald’s, and Martyrs to celebrate.

The festival first started in 2008 as a collaboration between Mike Raspatello, Silver Wrapper, and React Presents. The festival prides itself on showcasing the musical styles evolving from bluegrass and blues culture. It’s featured acts as varied as The String Cheese Incident, The Avett Brothers, Edward Sharpe, Drive-By Truckers, Dr. Dog, and more, stopping all across Chicago.
