It’s not too soon to start thinking about Canadian Music Week, happening May 7th to the 13th. For their 37th annual edition, they’re going big with over 4,500 musicians and 160,000 fans. It is by far Canada’s largest music festival. They list hundreds of artists and venues, and the event is set to actually encompass over 800 performances at 40+ venues.
The festival will feature a genre for even the most underground music aficionado. With artists from Canada and across the world, some of the most anticipated artists coming through include Lydia Lunch, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Sloan, CupcakKe, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and Slow.
The most incredible part about the week is how accessible it is. There are three different ways to participate: you can grab an Explorer wristband that will let you go to as many Club Series shows as you want, the Explorer Plus wristband that gives you priority access (including all CMW Club Series Shows) and no line waiting, or just grab individual show tickets.
While it might be sad that there’s no way to see all the shows, you can still see a TON of shows for a relatively low price.
