Boulder-natives Big Gigantic have really committed to their recently formed charitable organization A Big Gigantic Difference Foundation (ABGDF). Their latest project through the foundation is giving back to their hometown.

With donations from benefactors such as Ableton and Native Instruments, ABGDF is now partnering with local Denver music education charity Youth on Record to bring a full digital music lab to the Youth on Record campus in Denver.

The lab will have five computers completely furnished with software and gear from Ableton and Native Instruments. ABGDF will also be paying the salary of a full-time music educator to staff the new lab and show students how to use the digital music equipment. Youth on Record’s staff will also help with teaching classes in the new lab.

The Youth on Record campus

Youth on Record is a charity that provides music education and a musical outlet to underprivileged youth in the Denver area. It’s headquarters is a 4000 square foot studio and campus in the center of Denver where the new computer lab will be located. The organization, according to 303 Magazine, “teaches the students about how music can be a coping mechanism, or how music can inspire them to even ‘become the leaders of tomorrow.'”
