Winter Doldrums

Philadelphia is known for their music and this event is going to showcase a lot of it while supporting an incredible cause. On February 11th, WXPN and Turtle Studios are teaming up for the sixth annual Winter Doldrums, benefitting the American Foundation for Suicide Awareness. The event will take place at The Ardmore Music Hall from from 3 PM to around 10 PM and will feature a plethora of Philadelphia artists.

This isn’t your typical genre focused show, you’ll hear everything from bluegrass, to rock, to blues, to rockabilly. And, with over seven hours of music, from Philadelphia-based artists, everyone is sure to find something to enjoy.

The best part, after the music of course, is that it’s all for a good cause. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention leads the fight against suicide by funding research, creating educational programs, advocating for public policy, and supporting those affected by suicide. The organization is headquartered in New York and has 75 local chapters nationwide. Find them across the web on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
