Texas has a wide range of music genre fans. There’s been metal tours, alt-rock tours, and even electronic with Lights All Night. It’s always exciting, however, when a band seems to be able to appeal to multiple fans at once.

Austin native duo Missio does just that. Missio is an electronic alternative rock band that specializes in emotive, dark tunes. The duo is comprised of two separate artists, frontman and vocalist Matthew Brue and producer David Butler. The pair made their debut at SXSW in 2015 and have been a force to be reckoned with ever since.

Their single “Middle Fingers” reached #9 on the alternative charts and is a fun, rebellious anthem. For those electronic fans looking to get a little bit more into alt rock or vice versa, Missio is a great gateway band.

Missio is currently on tour before they release their debut album LONER on May 19th, which has already had singles such as “KDV” released. The full-length album is highly anticipated and should show a lot of depth. It’s currently available for preorder from Amazon Music.
